25 Fr inner sheath for resectoscope systems. It guides the working element and electrode and forms part of the system’s fluid management.
The YOUSHI 504.001 inner sheath is a key structural component of the resectoscope system. The working element, telescope and electrode all pass through it, so the sheath sets the instrument’s guidance and stability throughout the procedure.
With an outer diameter of 25 Fr (approx. 8.3 mm), it is a well-established size for endoscopic surgical procedures. It leaves enough cross-section for the telescope and working electrode while keeping the instrument easy to handle.
In a continuous-flow setup, the inner sheath works together with the outer sheath. Irrigation fluid flows in through the inner sheath to the surgical site, and outflow runs through the space between the two sheaths. This dual-channel flow keeps the field of view clear and the working conditions stable, which is especially valuable during longer procedures.
Together with the manufacturer’s working element, telescopes, outer sheath and electrodes, the inner sheath completes the full instrument set. Exact compatibility details, along with cleaning, sterilisation and reprocessing requirements, are given in the manufacturer’s instructions for use (IFU).
